Week 6( the second test launch)

  Hello bloggers,

Two days ago(Tuesday 6th of June 2021) we were doing a second test flight, our group(Hafsa, Jaymalyn who was not here on the day, Musawir, Aarna and me)was the first one to go. Musawir was the one who pumped the air, Hafsa has recording it, Aarna was watching Musawir pump the rocket while I(Wynette) was writing down what happened. The first time it flew, it only flew a few inches away from the ground, I thought it was *mediocre. Then, when we did the second test flight( my group was doing the same as last time, with different PSI and the water pressure) it flew I think almost two metres high. After that, I wrote down what happened in the first flight and the second flight. It was fun watching other groups and classes rockets fly.

*mediocre - good but not the best

Wonder project( rocket making)

Hello Bloggers, yesterday we were making rocket for the Wonder project! We went into the hall and we watched a short clip about what we were going to do. After watching it, went back to our classes. When we got into our classes, we got a piece of thread/string, got our bottles and tried to find the center of mass. When our we found the center of mass, we then had find the center of pressure. It took some time for our team to find the center of mass and pressure. Then everyone's team had to trace their rockets and cut it out, before out team traced it out, we took off the fins, removed the tape carefully and then traced it. We hot glued the fins back on in the afternoon, unfortunatly we were the last group to finish. Now all we have to do is make sure the *nose cone stays on and test it.

*a nose cone is the top of the airplane or rocket
